| Ixtapa is an international beach resort that was built in the late 1970s distinctively for tourism, with plenty of shopping and restaurants. Be sure to visit the designer shops of the Plaza Las Fuentes. Ixtapa is also known for its great fishing -- serious fishermen will also want to head a couple of miles south to Zihuatanejo. | ||||
